How to read the map

Stations summarise decisions and consequences, rather than every appearance.

Numbered crossings show a decision changing another storyline.

A stage without a station shows no new turn in this view; life still continues.

Horizontal spacing organises stages of the story and is not a proportional time scale.

The narrative results, companies and incidents are fictional. The reference challenge is real.

The map ends with Book 1. It contains no later plans.

ATLAS submits on time and finishes second in the fictional international ranking. Nexo offers three months of paid work for four people; Mara keeps her decision to leave and Nadia keeps her planned move to another group. Leo remembers his fellow actors’ lines and still struggles with cues and movement. His late notice of an absence leads Vera to say she expected to matter more to him; Leo does not know what to say. On 5 November he returns with the changed entrance prepared, and Vera suggests a drink to spend time with him without more rehearsal. On 7 November he returns to the gym: he sustains a little more effort, climbs a short section of rope and rests with the group. The concert reveals another part of Jun’s life; the laptop robbery brings Nico and Jun closer without solving housing. Leo learns to listen to Nico, messages Mara without knowing her answer and ends by reading the book with the mountain diagram. The result does not make everyone feel the same or complete his learning. Leo remains unaware of the family help given to Alicia. The informant and attacker remain unidentified.
